Venus and Nunki, 2005 Nov 19

Nunki (Babylonian name) famous for being mentioned on Babylonian Tablet of 30 Stars. It means 'Proclamation of the Sea' signifying the approach of the 'watery' constellations of Capricornus, Aquarius and Pisces. Nunki is the star 'sigma' in Sagittarius.
It was imaged on 2005 Nov 19 using a Canon 10D + 85mm lens and is the very faint star to the right of Venus and almost hidden by the branches of a nearby tree.
